Over the course of its life, your refrigerator will probably experience a few problems. Rather than panicking when you discover a covered problem with your refrigerator you can simply call American Home Shield. Our home warranty offers one of the best coverages for refrigerators, and are covered in our ShieldGold and ShieldPlatinum plans along with other Appliances and Systems.
American Home Shield will pay up to $2,000 per appliance ($4,000 with ShieldPlatinum plan) for access, diagnosis, and repair/replacement of any covered appliance.
If you have multiple refrigerators in your household, we will cover them all per the coverage amount in the home warranty you select.

American Shield's home service plans offers some of the best refrigerator coverage available. When you sign up for one of our home warranty plans, all parts and components of your refrigerator are covered - excluding free-standing freezers, multi-media centers and wine chillers. AHS will pay up to $2,000 per appliance ($4,000 with the ShieldPlatinum plan). Additionally, if you have multiple refrigerators, we will cover them all.

Our standard home warranty contract term is 1 year and can be renewed upon expiration. There is a 30-day waiting period before you can make service requests when you purchase a new home warranty plan.

Yes, if we can’t fix it, we’ll replace it! Plus, we’ll cover the cost to remove the defective appliance.

I rented a motel room for the night and as I was getting ready to leave, the contractor called and said he could be there that night if I still wanted him to!!! I was soooo happy. Great service for homeowners! If you have a ton of cash ready for any home system that may fail at any moment then you are good. If you are like the other 90% of homeowners who don't, then do yourself a favor and protect your investment with an AHS home warranty. Seriously, a new HVAC in California costs over $4K. I paid $100. A new stove last year was $400, but I paid $75. It's in my budget and I don't think twice. AHS always takes great care of me.

I wasn't sure if a home warranty would be a good investment. My next door neighbor has AHS and had their AC unit repaired without any issues and little out of pocket cost. With that I was sold. I used AHS for the first time and what an easy process. I booked a service appointment online, paid the $100 service fee, and the repairman fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. Our "trusted" AC tune up guys told us our unit was leaking refrigerant and needed a new coil unit.
