- Rekey - Simply book an appointment online and a locksmith will rekey up to six keyholes with four identical keys for one low fee.
- HVAC Tune-ups - This important service is offered in the spring and fall at just $75 per unit with our ShieldSilver™ and Shield Gold™ plans, while ShieldPlatinum™ plan members receive one free tune-up per contract term
- Indoor Service & Maintenance - We'll send a pro to your home to install your pre-purchased faucet, toilet, sink, shower head, and other plumbing items. Pricing varies based on location.
- Tech Installation & Support - We make tech installation and support easy for our members, from smart home items to streaming devices. Pricing aries based on location.
As a member of American Home Shield®, you have access to discounted pricing for top appliance brands and current models. Whether you are matching a dryer to a new washing machine or completing your dream kitchen with a specific dishwasher, we can help you find the right appliances for less. You can also use the Appliance Discount Program if your appliance couldn’t be repaired under your home warranty and you opted for cash in lieu of a similar model because you would like to upgrade your appliance. With access to our exclusive discounts, your dollars go further!
We offer our discounted HVAC tune-ups twice a year, once in the spring to prepare your A/C for the summer months ahead and again in the fall to ensure your heating system is ready for the winter. The discounted rate for ShieldSilver™ and ShieldGold™ members is $75 per unit plus any applicable sales tax. ShieldPlatinum™ members receive one free tune-up per contract term. For A/C systems, daytime outside air temperature must be 65 degrees Fahrenheit or above to perform a tune-up. A/C systems are not eligible for a tune-up during the fall heating tune-up season. Heating systems are not eligible for a tune-up during the spring A/C tune-up season. HVAC units must be safely accessible to the Pro.
The price of a home warranty depends on a few factors, such as the level of coverage you need for your home and the Service Fee you select. With three plans to choose from, you can pick the plan that’s right for you and your home’s needs.
Our standard contract term is 1 year and can be renewed upon expiration. When you purchase a new home warranty plan, there is a 30-day waiting period before you can make your first service request.
You can place your first service request 30 days after you buy your home warranty plan.
Our best plan is the one that’s right for you! The ShieldSilver™ plan is for homeowners who want to cover the must-haves like your heating and cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems. The ShieldGold™ plan is perfect for anyone who wants to live life with less interruptions, especially in the laundry room and kitchen, with coverage for the main systems and appliances you use every day. And with the ShieldPlatinum™ plan, you get coverage for just about everything: key components of 23 major home systems and appliances, plus premium features like Roof Leak Repair Coverage, double the coverage for appliances, and a free HVAC Tune-up. No two homes are the same, and that’s why we have options – so you can find the plan that fits your needs.
When you join American Home Shield, there are two fees associated with your home service plan: the plan cost and the amount you'll pay when you need to request service, your Service Fee.
Your Service Fee is a set amount that covers the cost for a Pro to diagnose the problem (whether it's determined to be covered or not). Choose a higher fee to lower your monthly payment or a lower fee to pay less when you request service.
If your breakdown is fully covered, that's all you pay. Your plan pays the rest of the repair cost.
If your breakdown is not covered or exceeds your plan limit, you'll receive a detailed explanation of repair costs and you can decide how you want to proceed.

I rented a motel room for the night and as I was getting ready to leave, the contractor called and said he could be there that night if I still wanted him to!!! I was soooo happy. Great service for homeowners! If you have a ton of cash ready for any home system that may fail at any moment then you are good. If you are like the other 90% of homeowners who don't, then do yourself a favor and protect your investment with an AHS home warranty. Seriously, a new HVAC in California costs over $4K. I paid $100. A new stove last year was $400, but I paid $75. It's in my budget and I don't think twice. AHS always takes great care of me.

Our "trusted" AC tune up guys told us our unit was leaking refrigerant and needed a new coil unit.
